Neujahrsgruß — New Year’s greeting and gift of a devotional imageKloster Lüne, Hs. 15, Lage 22, fol. 3r
The Lüne nun implores her younger sister in Ebstorf to send a message about her health. She sends a devotional image of the Jesus child in a golden heart as a New Year’s greeting, who will adorn her body and soul with the mercy of his honey-flowing humanity, both internally and externally. She and Subprioress Gertrud von Eltzen send greetings to the sisters Mechtild Redebere, Margarete Schele, Elisabeth Bockes, all of whom had come to Lüne from Ebstorf for its reform and in the meantime have returned; the nun TE and, above all, a thousand greetings to BNken so that she always will pray for them when she walks round the cemetery.
