Notiz zum Besitz an der Kirche in Rade, die 1272 vom Kloster Rastede unter Abt Otto an das Kloster Lüne abgetreten worden war. 1505 habe der Propst Nikolaus Schomaker den Chor verlängern und den Altar neu ausführen lassen, die Patrozinien seien jedoch bestehen geblieben. Der gesamte Erlös, Naturalien und Geld, gehe an das Kloster.
A note about the ownership of the Church of St John Baptist and St Mary Magdalene in Rade. The church was transferred to the convent in perpetuity in 1272 by Otto, Count of Oldenburg and Abbot of Rastede (d. 1285). In 1505, Provost Nikolaus Schomaker sought to extend the choir of the chapel in Rade to the praise of God and for the salvation of his soul. He also wanted to have the altar in the choir renovated, but the sculptures of the church’s patrons remained the same. All proceeds from the church, both money and in kind (wax, flax, chickens) go to the convent.
Ecclesiaa Rade pertinet in monasterium Lune, et habuimus de anno Domini Mo CCo LXXIIo 1 a domino abbate Ottoni2 in Rastede perpetuo possidendum. Item anno Domini Mo CCCCCo Vo 3 dominus prepositus in Lune, Nicolaus Schomaker, fecit chorum ipsius capelle in Rade prolongare ad laudem Dei et pro salute anime eius et altare in eodem choro ex novo edificare – sed patroni ibidem remanserunt, qui ibi fuerunt, videlicet sanctus Iohannes Baptista et beata Maria Magdalena. Totum satisficium4 venit in monasterium, was, vlas, honnere, unde wad utheloset wert van gelde.
