Die Absenderin teilt der Priorin mit, dass sie gesund ist und das gleiche auch von ihr hoffe. Das letzte Schreiben der Angeschriebenen hat sie sehr erfreut, auch wenn sie die Nachricht vom Tod der beiden Lüner Nonnen traurig gestimmt hat. Der Verwandten der Empfängerin, E Meneke, deren Krankheit auch der Absenderin durch Mark und Bein ging, geht es etwas besser. Die Nonne sei bereits in der Lage, mit Hilfe im Kreuzgang zu gehen und die Messe zu hören. Sie seien dankbar und hofften weiter auf Gott. Außerdem freut sich die Absenderin über die Mädchen, die in Ebstorf ins Noviziat aufgenommen werden sollen am Tag der 11000 Jungfrauen. Sie grüßt die ganze Gemeinschaft und bittet um Fürbitte für sich und den ganzen Konvent; sie verspricht gleiches am Tag der Aufnahme der Novizinnen. Elisabeth von Meding und die Schwestern AS und MSJ schicken Grüße und Dank für die Fürbitte.
Prioress Mechtild Wilde of Lüne informs Prioress Elisabeth von Dannenberg of Ebstorf that she is healthy. She was delighted by the last letter and moved by the condolences on the occasion of the death of two Lüne nuns who have now followed Christ and are wearing heavenly garments. Since Prioress Elisabeth von Dannenberg is worried about the health of the Lüne nun, her relative E. Meneke, whose illness is also making the writer nervous, the writer hopes that God, the highest doctor, will respond to the recipient’s prayers. There are clearly some signs of improvement in the nun’s condition, as she is already in a position to walk with assistance and hear Mass, for which the writer thanks God. The writer is extremely glad about the girls who are going to be accepted as novices on the feast day of St Ursula and the 11,000 Virgins (21 October) and compares them to sheep in a meadow being led to their bridegroom Christ. Drawing on antiphons and responsories used in services to honour martyrs and virgins, she praises the new novices for being chosen from among thousands of their peers to mortify their bodies and renouncing the kingdom of the world for the kingdom of God. The writer asks the recipient that she and the convent keep her in their prayers, as she will keep them in her prayers on the day that the novices are accepted. Elisabeth von Meding (who would later play an important role in Lüne’s history during the Reformation as the nun who would receive the news of the provost’s dismissal from office in July 1529) and the sisters AS and MSJ send their greetings. The Prioress of Ebstorf knew many of the Lüne nuns personally from a visit to the convent in February 1526. The sender reports that Elisabeth, in particular, was grateful for their prayers.
